Jessica Amanda Thurman
Jessica Amanda Thurman is a Master’s level International Psychologist and alumnae of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Jessica is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in International Psychology at The Chicago School with a concentration in Business and Systems. It is her love of culture, technology, Indigenous Psychology methods, and the desire for a sustainable global society that drives her in the field of psychology.
Jessica has continued to contribute to future generations that are interested in technology and psychology by being a mentor with Girls Who Game, has been the keynote speaker for several virtual events hosted by technology boot camps, and have co-hosted a STEM talk show as well as host a podcast that speaks to career changers and mental health. Currently, Jessica works as a User Experience Researcher and plans to do her research in methods that highlight the contributions of people of color to society and how to build a more empathetic sustainable world. It is her goal to ensure that the disparities of education and wealth among underrepresented communities are closed by empowering through relatable and ease of understanding complex topics within psychology and technology.
